Vegas Vipers Hire Mike Newton As Assistant Coach, Make 3 Other Roster Moves

Monday (3/20), the Vegas Vipers hired former Robert Morris assistant coach Mike Newton. Mike had experience as a defensive back at Newberry College and later transferred to South Carolina Athletics. He later became a offensive coordinator for Juanita College (2010-2014).

Just recently though he was an assistant coach where he was the special teams coordinator and helped coach the wide receivers. He also had prior experience at Clarion as an offensive coordinator in 2019-2020.

The same day they also activated Isaiah Williams (OG) after they placed him on the list 5 days prior. Mister Harriel (Safety) who hasn’t played a single snap on defense or special teams was released to make room for Isaiah Williams on the roster.
