Geronimo Allison, a 6 year NFL veteran was signed to the Vegas Vipers Monday (1/23) and will immediately report to training camp. The 6 ‘3 wide receiver spent most of his time in Green Bay (2016 till 2019) where he played in 2 different playoff games while there.
Allison then signed with the Lions in 2020 but opted out of the season due to the NFL allowing players to opt out of the season due to COVID. In 2021 he only played 3 games with the Lions and was then waived but signed by the Falcons (2022) where he was waived yet again.
Geronimo recorded 89 receptions, 1,045 receiving yards, and 6 receiving touchdowns in his 6 years in the NFL.
He now joins an already dangerous receiving corps with names like Martavis Bryant, Jeff Badet, Matthew Sexton, and Saeed Blacknall just to name a few.
The Vipers also went out and got Kahlil McKenzie the same day.
Kahlil is a hybrid offensive guard who can also play defensive lineman. McKenzie is also a NFL Vet who has played with 4 NFL teams.
He was drafted by the Chiefs in the 6th round of the 2018 draft then made his way on to the Seahawks practice squad in 2019 after he was released by the Chiefs.
Kahlil was then drafted to the DC Defenders (2020) but was later traded to the Wildcats where he played 0 snaps and was later placed on injured reserve for the season. After his run in the XFL he went on to sign with the Seahawks (2020), then the Bengals (2020-2021), and was last on the Ravens practice squad (2022).
