Janis Burke CEO of the Harris Country-Houston Sports Authority opens the press conference at TDECU Stadium in Houston Texas. Talks about the city of Houston and how it is a great sports town. Then she introduced new XFL Houston president Brian Michael Cooper.

    • College players are able to workout without losing their college eligibility

  • Kevin Gilbride replaced him with the Houston Oilers back in the day. He recommended him for the job.
  • Marc Trestman competed against him, got to know him in the CFL
  • Always ha followed Bob Stoops and his offense because both coaches like the wide-open style of play
  • Hal Mumme coached with June Jones and against him
  • Dallas vs. Houston XFL rivalry will be big
  • Excited about the new XFL rules
  • Coaching in Houston is full circle for him having had his coaching start in the city
  • Watching the “This Was The XFL” 30 for 30 on ESPN triggered an interest for him. The last 3 minutes of it with Vince and Dick Ebersol talking about bringing it back. Vince’s eye and knew he would get things done with the XFL
  • Met with Bill Walsh in his later years in Hawaii as head coach
