A former second-round pick of the Denver Broncos in the 2011 NFL Draft free safety Rahim Moore will take part in the XFL Summer Showcase. The Showcase is the 5th so far this summer and is taking place in Los Angeles on Friday, June 21st at Veterans Memorial Stadium.
Moore played with the Broncos from 2011 to 2014. He also played for the Houston Texans (2015), Cleveland Browns (2016) and the New York Giants(2017). He played for the Arizona Hotshots of the Alliance of American Football (AAF) in 2019.
He is most known for the 2013 playoff game between the Denver Broncos and Baltimore Ravens. He was covering Jacoby Jones on a Hail Mary throw by Joe Flacco late in the game. Moore misjudged the trajectory of the ball and fell over, letting Jones score the game-tying touchdown. The Ravens would go on to win the game 38-35 in double overtime and eventually win Super Bowl XLVII. Moore looks to make a new name for himself in the XFL.
The XFL is hosting Summer Showcases in each of its eight host cities to evaluate players for the XFL’s inaugural season. Last week New York and Washington DC were the second stops in the Summer Showcases. This weekend is Los Angeles and Seattle.
