D1 Linebacker Brooklyn Hardiman Signs with Arkansas Attack

@Hardiman_35 a LB who converted from defensive back early in his college career will look to Attack opposing offenses with the guidance of DC @DerriusDBell in Arkansas.

Earlier this off-season I had the pleasure of talking to Brooklyn Hardiman linebacker that attended both Northern Arizona University, Colorado Mesa University. Brooklyn made the transition from defensive back to linebacker during college. These abilities and experiences shine through when you watch him play. In the modern game, we see more and more bigger defensive backs making this move to linebacker.

Paired with Mike Fanoga

Brooklyn Will be paired with linebacker coach Mike Fanoga. Fanoga is an experienced coach, with mini years of coaching linebackers at several different levels. One thing we know for sure, we will be seeing a base 4-3 defense.

Fanoga is a very experienced collegiate coach, who even made it being a head coach at points. In 2022 he will look to the MLFB for his first chance in a professional atmosphere such as this. It’s not just players looking to the MLFB for a chance.

Former Houston Roughneck Derrius Bell hired as DC

At this moment with contract offers coming fast Brooklyn made his decision to ultimately latch on with the Attack. Ironically, Hardiman made the decision to spurn the XFL Showcases for the MLFB and still ended up under a 2020 XFL Coach. Derrius Bell worked on the Undefeated Houston Roughnecks. Unfortunately as we all know the 2020 version of the XFL was forced to shutdown and send players and coaches alike home.

Bell ultimately had to wait for his next opportunity to coach. The former player would ultimately end up coaching for UTEP prior to accepting the position as the defensive coordinator of the Arkansas Attack. The former defensive back will likely have fun game planning for a playmaker like Hardiman in his defense.

Bell also spent some time in the spring league as a defensive coordinator as well. Kind of interesting to see the connections to the XFL, and Brian Woods on his resume. One of the most interesting things that will come from this league is whether or not coaches and players can make it to the next level.

Will MLFB Position Itself as an NFL Springboard

Since the inception of the MLFB some eight years ago in 2014, their stated goal has been to put players in the NFL. The thing is with no proof of concept as a league, people will be watching but we don’t quite know what to make of the league just yet. One thing is for sure, the Major League of Football is going to be interesting to watch.

For players like Brooklyn the curiosity surrounding the league is a good thing. The need for Spring Football seems to be at an all time high. Soon there will be questions as to which league will come out on top in the great #SpringFootballWars of 2023.
