Former 2012 Rose Bowl Champion Quarterback Darron Thomas will be part of the XFL Summer Showcase in Seattle. He joins former Tennessee Titans Running Back Bishop Sankey and New Orleans Saints Linebacker Hau’oli Kikaha as players named for the June 22nd event at Memorial Stadium.
Thomas was part of the 2011 BCS National Championship in which his Oregon Ducks lost to the Auburn Tigers 22–19 on a last-second field goal. It was his first season as a starter.
His second season as a starter his Ducks beat Wisconsin in the 2012 Rose Bowl 45 – 38. He decided to forgo his senior year to enter the 2012 NFL Draft. He was not drafted or signed by a team. Since then he has played in different leagues like the CFL and Arena Football League.
