Tuesday (3/28), the Vipers traded Luis Perez (QB) to the Arlington Renegades for Ryan Mueller (LB). This move comes after Luis was benched for Brett Hundley after the loss against the Battlehawks in Week 5. With this in mind Brett Hundley will be the starter with Jalan McClendon backing him up for the rest of the season.
Luis Perez In 5 Weeks With The Vipers
Passing: 5th In Passing YDs/ 4th In Passing TDs/ 7th In Completion%/ 2nd In INTs
The Renegades gave the Vipers Ryan Mueller who hasn’t recorded any sort of stat all season which means Vegas gets a fresh new linebacker and could be a sneaky steal. Ryan rather has played for the XFL beforer but in 2020 where he played for the New York Guardians where he had won Defensive Play Of The Year.
Arlington made this trade after they released Kyle Sloter (QB) on Monday (3/27) after he had a terrible time trying to make something happen for the team where he threw only 1 touchdown all season but also threw 4 INTs.
Luis could become the starter for the Renegades in no time and as for the Vipers, Brett Hundley will most likely be the starter now with Jalan McClendon backing him. Jalan has been inactive all season and will now suit up for the first time this season where he could potentially see the field later in the season but the Vipers could still go out and get another QB just to compete with McClendon.
