Tampa Bay Vipers OT Martez Ivey Signs With Carolina Panthers

The Carolina Panthers have signed Tampa Bay Vipers OT Martez Ivey to a futures contract.

He is the 5th Tampa Bay Vipers player to sign a futures contract with an NFL team.  He joins 3 other XFL players on the Panthers roster. WR Ishmael Hyman (BattleHawks), QB PJ Walker (Roughnecks), and Vipers teammate TE Colin Thompson.

Ivey was drafted by the Tampa Bay Vipers in the 2nd round, 13th overall in the phase #2 portion of the 2020 XFL Draft. He was part of Mike Mitchell’s 2020 All-XFL Team.

At 25-year-old, Ivey spent time in the NFL with the New England Patriots and played his college ball at .
