The Tampa Bay Vipers have announced the following transactions via their Twitter account this morning:
- Vipers place CB Rannell Hall on Injured Reserve
- Vipers WAIVE WR Donteea Dye
- Vipers WAIVE S Corey Moore
- Vipers SIGN WR Seantavius Jones
- Vipers SIGN S Robenson Therezie
The combination of Dye and Moore have largely been special teams players for Tampa Bay. Dye was returning kicks for Hall who has been shaken up several times this season.
Moore was slated at the team’s second nickel safety behind Micah Hannemann in week three. Hannemann has been one of the surprises of the Vipers defense and his play is demanding of constant play time.
Both Jones and Therezie have been with the Vipers previously this season. Therezie was apart of the players cut when rosters were lowered to 52. He is largely recognized as depth in the secondary and a special teams asset.
Jones was waived by Tampa Bay just six days ago on Feb. 19 when the team acquired WR S.J. Green from Seattle and signed DT Shane Bowman from Team 9. He had fallen behind Dan Williams and Jalen Tolliver on the depth chart, but is a proven pass catcher and could possibly return kicks on special teams.
