Monday (1/30), the Las Vegas Vipers and Bryan Scott both agreed it was best to mutually part ways. Scott felt that he was a starting QB for either the USFL or XFL and didn’t view himself as anything else.
Now a free agent, Bryan can either sign to another XFL team or head back over to the USFL. Every team in the XFL right now just about has their QB room’s set for the season with teams like the Guardians still adding QBs like Paxton Lynch on Monday. It would be tough for Scott to get on a team at the moment but not impossible.
In a corresponding move, the Vipers went out and got NFL veteran Brett Hundley to start for the team. Brett Hundley is a 8 year veteran and has been with 6 different teams throughout his career.
Brett played for the Packers (2015-2017), Seahawks (2018), Cardinals (2019-2020), Colts (2021), Ravens (2022), Saints (2022), and the Ravens again (2022). Brett was most well known for his starting season in Green Bay back in 2017 where he went 3-6 as a starter after recording 1,836 Passing Yards, 9 Passing Touchdowns, 12 INTs’, and 270 Rushing Yards with 2 Rushing Touchdowns.
