CFL’s Winnipeg Blue Bombers Sign NY Guardians WR Mekale McKay

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers sign NY Guardians WR Mekale McKay to a one year deal. McKay will join, Armanti Edwards, Sergio Castillo, Jalen Saunders, Ranthony Texada, Brandon Wilds, Channing Stribling, and Doran Grant in the CFL. Texada and Grant recently signed to the Blue Bombers as well.

McKay finished the 5 games season with 12 catches for 184 yards and 1 touchdown.

He was drafted 2nd round, 14th overall, in the Phase #1 portion of the 2020 XFL draft. He was drafted by the New York Guardians.

He played his college ball at Cincinnati. At 26 years old he had stops with the Colts, Jaguars, Broncos, Titans, Bears, Cowboys, and San Antonio Commanders of the AAF.
