Major League Football (MLFB) has announced its first round of hires in preparation for the 2022 season. The report came in their 8-K filing on Monday. The SEC requires public companies to report significant events to their shareholders. This is what the 8-K is.
Mike McCarthy – not the Cowboys head coach – has been with the MLFB in a scouting position for over a year. But today announces his official hire. Mayfield Armstrong has been a doctor in sports for decades. Having him as the medical and training director is a great move.
CEO Frank Murtha told me via text that more hires are coming soon. Their SEC 10-K filing announced that they would be slowly releasing updates leading up to their 2022 season.
Today’s filing also shows that they have secured $750,000 to put towards funding the league. That goes with the $1,000,000 they have received that was mentioned in the previous 10-K.
The stock and SEC reports can be confusing, they’re read with a grain of salt as I’m just learning, but these announcements are key in believing whether or not the MLFB will hit the field next year.
As the updates come, we will have them for you.

They’re…contractors, not employees. Ask Herm Edwards how the contracting gig worked out.
