Fan Controlled Football has announced specifics about their 2nd season start. V2.0 will come in the spring of 2022 with 8 teams, in Atlanta. This means 4 new teams, with new owners, but original team owners will be returning.
The league will play its games on Saturday afternoons and evenings, but unlike season v1 0, FCF has confirmed to air the next season on NBCLX, found on the Peacock streaming app, and most cable networks. The league will also continue its Twitch presence.
“Fan Controlled Football is a highly engaging and innovative experience, which makes it a great addition to NBCLX’s content portfolio and a great match for our audience.”
Meredith McGinn, NBCUniversal Local’s EVP of Diginets & Original Production,
FCF co-founder and CEO Sohrob Farudi has been in conversations with networks since the end of the 1st season, NBCUniversal loved what they saw, according to the league. And has agreed to create additional programming, similar to what the league had on Twitch.
The league plays a 7v7 indoor style of football where the fans have control over what happens. All the way from weekly DFS-style drafts, to what plays get called on the field through an interactive app. A true mesh of gaming, entertainment, fantasy football, and the game itself, while also adding a community aspect.
FCF invites its fans to interact with each other and the players. Other leagues claim to do this, but no other league offers as much access to its players, team owners, and league officials.
“What we’re doing is rooted in the physical world. Everybody seems to be focused on what’s happening in the digital world. And it’s like 100% of the focus is there. And my thought is, I don’t see the physical world going away anytime soon. So what we really want to do is take the best of both.”

More announcements are coming soon, such as new team owners, team name and logo contests and the player pool.
