Today Marc Trestman added some more people to his XFL Tampa Bay coaching staff. Special teams coach Frank Gansz Jr. and Offensive line assistant coach Jonathan Himebauch.
Frank Gansz, Jr. was the Special Teams Coordinator for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the CFL in 2018. Most of his career has been spent as a Special Teams Coordinator in the college ranks and NFL. Gansz, Jr. is the son of legendary special teams coach, Frank Gansz, a former NFL head coach and long-time NFL assistant coach.
Jonathan Himebauch was the Offensive Line coach of the San Antonio Commanders of the Alliance of American Football (AAF) until they folded after eight games in 2019. Himebauch also served as Marc Trestman’s Offensive Line coach with the Toronto Argonauts in 2018. He is the second coach along with Vince Amey of the XFL Los Angeles, who played for the XFL in 2001. He was an Offensive lineman with the Los Angeles Xtreme who won the 1 Million Dollar Championship Game.
