According to a report from 3 Down Nation, Jaime Elizondo has resigned from his position as offensive coordinator with the Ottawa Redblack to join XFL Tampa Bay along with Hamilton Tiger-Cats defensive coordinator Jerry Glanville.
Elizondo will work alongside new head coach Marc Trestman as offesive coordinator. Jerry Glanville will come in as the new defensive coordinator.
About Jaime Elizondo
Ottawa Redblack Quarterback Trevor Harris had two of his most prolific passing yardage totals under Elizondo. This includes his first 5,000-yard season in 2018.
Elizondo came to Ottawa from the Argos where we was a receivers and quarterbacks coach and offensive coordinator. He spent the 2008 season as a receivers coach and special teams assistant in Montreal with the Alouettes while Marc Trestman was head coach. Elizondo was Ottawa’s offensive play-caller for three seasons, helping the Redblacks win the Grey Cup in 2016.

Jerry Glanville’s year with the Ticats was his first season back coaching since he was head coach at Portland State University. From 2007 to 2009 the Vikings were 9-24.. He is best known for his time as an NFL head coach with the Houston Oilers and Atlanta Falcons. He carry’s a 63-73 career win-loss record while going 3-4 in four playoff appearances.
