About Catherine Raiche
Raiche, a University of Sherbrooke graduate, was hired by Jim Popp, the former Alouettes of the CFL GM, as an unpaid intern in 2015. Following the season, he offered her a full-time job as coordinator of football administration.
She has a law degree and is part of the Quebec Bar Association in 2012. She practiced corporate and tax law for three years at the law firm Gascon & Associates then left the firm to join the Alouettes of the CFL.
Raiche was the first female assistant GM in the CFL since 1988. Jo-Anne Polak was the first. She held that position with the Ottawa Rough Riders of the CFL. Polak was the first woman to hold that job title in any pro sports franchise across North America. Raiche has stated on the record that her goal is to be head GM one day.
Raiche joins Heather Brooks Karatz president of the XFL Los Angles franchise as the other high ranking female in the XFL.
