Roughnecks Trade WR Joe Horn Jr. To Guardians For WR Taivon Jacobs

There is still wheeling and dealing in the XFL with weeks till the official start of the season. This time Houston and New York swap wide receivers.

The Houston Roughnecks trade WR Joe Horn Jr. to the New York Guardians in exchange for WR Taivon Jacobs.

Joe Horn Jr is the son of former New Orleans Saints WR Joe Horn. Horn Jr was an undrafted free agent with the Baltimore Ravens until he was cut in August. The Houston Roughnecks drafted him in Phase 5 of the XFL draft. He played college football at (D2)Missouri Western State.

Taivon Jacobs played college football at the University of Maryland. He signed with the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent in 2019 and was cut in August as well.

Injuries derailed Jacobs career at Maryland, and he is looking for a second chance in the XFL. Jacobs signed as an undrafted free agent with the New York Guardians before being traded.
