Ex Pittsburgh Steelers QB Landry Jones Part Of XFL Showcase

Former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Landry Jones will take part in the XFL tryouts this Friday in Dallas Texas. He will join other ex-NFL players including Aaron Ripkowski formerly of the Green Bay Packers and Christine Michael of the Seattle Seahawks.

Jones was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the fourth round (115th overall) of the 2013 NFL Draft and played with the team until 2017. He then bounced around the NFL with stops with the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2018 and Oakland Raiders in 2019. He was cut from the Raiders on May 22nd.

He played for the Oklahoma Sooners under than Head Coach Bob Stoops from 2008 to 2012 and finished his college career with 16,646 passing yards and 123 touchdowns.

The eight-city XFL Summer Showcase takes place over June starting in Dallas, Texas on June 7th, 2019. They run each Friday and Saturday at all eight XFL cities.
