XFL Names Nish Mehta SVP OF Sponsorships & Business Development

The XFL today announced that Nish Mehta has joined the League as SVP of Sponsorships & Business Development, as part of the League’s commercial team under the direction of Chief Commercial Officer, Josh Cella.

“Nish’s experience building great partnerships at the NFL and Twitter will contribute meaningfully to our commercial team’s focus on elevating our digital platforms for our partners,” said Cella. “We have a best-in-class content team and have established a successful digital and social footprint that we want to continue to capitalize on. Our ownership group, including Dany Garcia and Dwayne Johnson, position us well on those channels and we continue to look for engaging ways to leverage their combined reach with our partners.”

Mehta joins the XFL from Twitter, where he oversaw numerous industry verticals. Under his leadership, the team was responsible for building strategic partnerships with brands to help them leverage Twitter’s unique audience and platform solutions. Prior to that, Mehta spent eight years at the National Football League as a member of the media sales team, responsible for the monetization of the NFL Network, NFL.com, NFL Mobile, and NFL RedZone.
