PJ Walker has been having a stellar season in the XFL. With a 104.4 QBR and 15 Touchdowns to 4 Interceptions, he has proven he can make an NFL roster. All he needs is a team to give him a chance, and it is looking like he just might get one.
The Seattle Seahawks are reportedly interested in PJ Walker. According to ESPN announcer Steve Levy, Seattle had scouts in attendance for the Roughnecks matchup between the Dragons.
With Russell Wilson as the only QB on the roster, it makes sense for the Seahawks to be looking for a backup. Both of their playstyles are similar, allowing for an easier transition for the team if Wilson goes down with an injury.
Walker has the ability to extend the play and make something out of nothing. He has rushed for 99 yards on 24 carries and a touchdown through 5 weeks. His longball accuracy is also impressive. Over 26% of his touchdown passes have been on completions over 25 yards. Another thing to note is his accuracy. He has 119 competitions on 184 attempts giving him a completion percentage of 64.7%
It will be interesting to see what Walker will do if he is given the opportunity. He is the face of the Roughnecks and the XFL. Will he move on to the NFL for a backup role or will he stay in the XFL as the league grows? It is a question to think about and will really show what players think about the XFL.
PJ Walker is under contract till the end of the XFL season and can come back to the Roughnecks if things in the NFL do not work out. For now, expect him to keep making amazing plays and turning the heads of fans and NFL scouts alike.
