After being cut last week by the New Orleans Saints. The Miami Dolphins sign Houston Roughnecks CB Deatrick Nichols to a one year deal.
Nichols signed with the Saints five months ago but as we reported last week, was part of a round of XFL players cut. He is the first XFL player to be cut by an NFL team only to resign with another one later.
Nichols is the only XFL player on the Dolphins roster. He led the XFL in interceptions with three and was part of the undefeated Houston Roughnecks defense. He also had 24 tackles and 1 sack in the 5 games XFL season.
He played college football at South Florida and spent time with the Arizona Cardinals.
