According to the XFL Transaction page, the Tampa Bay Vipers have made the following moves:
- Vipers SIGN RB Tarean Folston
- Vipers WAIVE QB Chase Litton
The Vipers active roster is currently at 52 of 52.
Earlier in the week, during his post-practice media availability, Vipers head coach Marc Trestman alluded to the move that Folston was back with the Vipers.
The team had previously cut Folston once the RB was ready to come off the injured reserve list late last week. Folston was the odd man out when the team activated offensive guard Andrew Tiller and traded for depth at defensive tackle.
In what seems like a football move, the Vipers add a third running back to their backfield and all it cost was cutting their fourth string quarterback who was never seeing the field.
There is however a chance that Litton lands on the league’s Team Nine, depending on the turnover after week five. That won’t be known until early-to-mid next week.
