John Granato To Be Play-By-Play Voice Of Houston Roughnecks

Mark Berman, Sports Director at Fox 26(KRIV) in Houston Texas is reporting that local Houston sports radio personality John Granato will be the new voice of the Houston Roughnecks.

Granato is a radio host on ESPN 97.5 FM in Houston Texas. He along with Lance Zierlein host The Bench morning show from 7-9 am weekdays.

He has been doing morning radio since August 2007 when 1560 AM “The Game” debuted. That station eventually was renamed and moved to ESPN 97.5 FM.

We asked Oliver Luck over the Summer if the XFL was planning on having local radio broadcast partners, he answered yes with details to come. Expect more local radio hires in the coming weeks as the XFL finalizes details for the 2020 kick-off.
