The Cleveland Browns have signed Tampa Bay Vipers DT Ricky Walker to a one year deal. He joins recently signed Seattle Dragons G Michael Dunn. He is the 5th Viper to sign with an NFL team.
Walker was taken in the 3rd Round, 17th overall in the 2020 Phase #3 portion of the XFL draft by the Vipers. He played in 3 of the leagues 5 games and finished with 8 tackles and 1 QB hit.
Walker is known as the first player ejected in the XFL 2.0 era. Walker swung and struck New York Guardians C Ian Silberman.
Walker signed with the Dallas Cowboys as an undrafted free agent in 2019 and was waived with the final roster cuts. He played his college ball at Virginia Tech.
