Head Coach Anthony Becht was fired up Wednesday morning when one of his receivers crossed “party lines”. 2023 Battlehawk Gary Jennings has been swept up by the “USFL’s” Birmingham Stallions joining the back-to-back champions for another shot at their 3rd spring league championship.
Jennings was a speedster for the Battlehawks in 2023, providing plenty of depth in addition to becoming an asset on the Battlehawks special teams today. The West Virginia alum totaled 11 Receptions for 149 Receiving Yards and 3 Touchdowns over the XFL season. Jennings would earn a contract with the Carolina Panthers before getting released at the end of training camp.
Jennings was one of 15 Battlehawk players to earn an NFL contract in 2023. So far Hakeem Butler, Kevin Atkins, and Elijah Hamilton have signed Letters of Intent to rejoin the team with Jennings joining the Birmingham Stallions.
