St. Louis BattleHawks S Kenny Robinson was the first-ever XFL player to be drafted into the NFL. Robinson was selected with the 152nd pick of the 5th round in the 2020 NFL draft by the Carolina Panthers. Today he officially signed his rookie contract and will report to camp this week.
Robinson finished the shortened XFL season with 21 tackles, 1 sack, and two interceptions. He left WVU and still had college eligibility left but decided to play in the XFL instead. He was All-Big 12 for the Mountaineers and played well in the XFL.
Kenny Robinson was also named to Mike Mitchell’s All XFL Team for 2020.
Robinson joins fellow BattleHawks DaVonte Lambert, P.J. Walker and Juwann Bushell-Beatty of the Roughnecks, and Colin Thompson of the Vipers on the Panthers squad.
