Battlehawks Retain Carson Wells for 2024, As LB Signs LOI

The 2024 pieces of the puzzle continue to come into place with each passing day Dave Boller and Anthony Becht have seen many of their NFL players return back to the team. A day after Nate Meadors signed his LOI, versatile Linebacker Carson Wells also returned for 2024 becoming the 5th player from the 2023 Battlehawks to return for 2024.

Wells was a supplemental draft pick for St. Louis in 2023, joining the team after a stint with the Bengals. The Colorado alum was extremely versatile playing both Defensive Line and Linebacker for Donnie Abraham’s Defense. Wells totaled 45 tackles for 3.5 sacks over 10 games for St. Louis earning a contract with the New England Patriots only to be waived at the end of Training Camp.

Wells was One of Fifteen Battlehawks to earn an NFL contract after the 2023 XFL season. So far Hakeem Butler, Nate Meadors, Kevin Atkins, Elijah Hamilton and now Wells have signed their LOIs for the 2024 season.
