BattleHawks QB Jordan Ta’amu Cut Again By Kansas City Chiefs

Kansas City Chiefs once again cut St Louis BattleHawks QB Jordan Ta’amu. This is the second time he was let go by the franchise. Ta’amu was expendable after the Chiefs signed SMU quarterback Shane Buechele. That leaves Chad Henne, Anthony Gordon, and Buechele backing up star QB Patrick Mahomes.

Ta’amu signed with Kansas City after the XFL folded and was on the Practice Squad most of the season. He was later cut and signed by the Detroit Lions. After a brief stay in Detroit, he was cut and re-signed with the Chiefs again.

Head coach Andy Reid had high praise for Ta’amu during his stay in KC. This doens’t mean the door is completeley closed for him in the NFL. An injury during training camp or the season could bring him back. This is the life of most pro football players.
