The Spring League Conquerors 2021 Roster Breakdown

The Spring League begins their 2021 season on May 6th, in Indianapolis with a doubleheader, starting with the Alphas vs the Aviators at 7p eastern, and the Conquerors vs the newly formed Linemen at 10p eastern.

The players recently reported for camp, after the league’s 2021 draft. Rosters have been released, and for those of you who are Conquerors fans, you will notice many familiar names. Follow me, as I take you through the roster (asterisk indicates returning player):

QBs

Brandon Silvers, Kevin Anderson*

Silvers was a 4-year starter at Troy, that signed with the Saints as a free agent after the 2018 NFL Draft. After camp, His next stop was with the Memphis Express of the AAF. He started 2 games, passed for 799 yards, 4 TDs and 2 INTS.

After the AAF folded, Silvers joined the XFL’s Seattle Dragons, where he threw for 539 yards, 6 TDs and 4 TDs.

Anderson was with the Conquerors last year, taking the majority of the snaps, and did a fantastic job leading the team to a 2-1 record.

RBs

Luke Sellers, Sola Olateju*, Jordan Salima*

Sellers is a new addition from South Dakota State, with NFL experience with the Lions. Olateju returns to the Conquerors as a dual threat out of the backfield who was a major workhorse in college setting all kinds of records.

Salima got most of the carries last year, and was one of the players who played in last year’s championship game for the Aviators.

WRs

Cole Spieker, Vinny Papale*, Marquise Lawson, Michael Bandy*, Dushon David, Tavonn Salter

This receiving corps has every type of weapon you need to win in the Run and Shoot offense that HC Jerry Glanville and OC AJ Smith employ. Papale and Bandy return after big seasons for the Spring League in 2020, and the new guys hope to pick up where last year’s team left off.

TEs

Matt Seybert*

Seybert returns to the Conquerors as the only TE on the roster.

OL

John Yarbrough, Joshua Fields, Dante Reynolds, Robert Meyers*, Cameron Jefferson, Quinn Oseland*, Anthony Morris

Two players are returning from 2020 – Oseland and Meyers – while the others bring in a mix of former experience. Some have signed with NFL clubs, others were overlooked because of the canceled 2020 Pro Days.

DL

Willie Yarbury*, Drondrea Tillman, Anree Saint-Amour, Khristian Tate, Hinwa Allieu, Malik Dorton, Tymir Oliver

Yarbury highlights this defensive line as the returning stud from 2020. His high-level of play should have netted him an NFL deal, but no doubt the Conquerors are happy to have him back.

LBs

Basil Jackson, Beau Griego, Zach Hall*, Royce See

This linebacking crew will be one of the best in the league. Hall was a monster last season, always near the ball. See was a guy that did everything necessary to help keep the squad in contention. Griego and Jackson experience and skill in both facets of the game.

DBs

Jermaine Edmonson, Prince Charles Iworah, Robenson Therezie, Ken Hike, Jr*, Dominique Martin, Nicholas Washington

Hike returns to the Conquerors as one of the most productive members of the secondary from 2020. Looking to improve, Therezie and Iworah bring other professional experience.

Iworah has had multiple stops in the NFL, as well as the CFL, and Therezie played for the XFL’s Tampa Bay Vipers as well as a few NFL teams.

STs

Ryan DiSalvo, Cole Murphy

Long-snapper Ryan DiSalvo, and kicker Cole murphy hope to step in for the battery that set records last season. Former Conquerors K/P Matt Mengel is now with the Montreal Alouettes, and Murphy is hoping to have the same success.

The Conquerors hope to start this season off better than Week 1 from last year, which ended in a loss to the eventual 2020 champions, the Generals.
