December 7, 2022 – ARLINGTON, Texas Under Armour (NYSE: UA, UA.C) has just been named the official uniform provider for the XFL. Under Armour will be the only provider of all XFL teams’ on-field uniforms, including jerseys, base layers, sideline gear, and training wear, beginning with the 2023 season.
In collaboration with Under Armour, the XFL has unveiled its new uniforms for the next season. The outfits, both home and away, are designed to represent each team’s identity. The XFL’s ownership, marketing, and Under Armour’s creative departments worked together on the project. Sublimated on the inside of the team jersey collars is the motto “Blood, Sweat, Respect,” which is a personal message from the owners to the players.
We have worked closely with Under Armour on Project Rock for the past ten years. Dany Garcia, Chairwoman and Owner remarked, “They have shown to be a best-in-class partner and true pioneers in the high-performance sports market.” This long-standing partnership has led to the logical next step of having them join the XFL as an Official Uniform Partner. We’ve been working directly with their top talent to design uniforms that capture each squad’s unique spirit while providing cutting-edge athlete solutions that boost performance and protect players. The XFL’s official jerseys are Under Armour’s ArmourGrid 2 jersey, which has a patented blend of materials strategically positioned for durability, fit, and airflow. The jerseys’ front and back body panels are made of ArmourGrid Vent, a ventilated woven ripstop with a “No-Grab” finish that also removes any excess flexible areas. Under Armour’s Twillot fabric, a long-lasting wicking and anti-microbial tricot blend, were used for the shoulder yokes, collar, and cuffs, while the high-stretch and vented Smokestack mesh were used for the side and lower body panels.
