The Spring League Cancels Regular Season Due To COVID

The Spring League issued the following statement prior to its two scheduled games tonight on FS1.

“Upon the return of the COVID-19 results from yesterday’s testing. The Spring League has concluded that it will not be possible to proceed with either of our scheduled Week 4 games. As the cases of Coronavirus continue to surge nationally, we believe it is in the best interest of the health and safety of our player’s coaches, and staff to conclude the regular season at TSL2020.”

Tonight we were supposed to see the Blues vs Alphas and Aviators vs The Generals. Both games were supposed to be on FS1 starting at 7 pm ET.

With a tentative December 2nd scheduled date for a championship game, it seems highly unlikely with COVID cases on the rise across the country that a title game will be played.

The league had to earlier forfeit the Jousters vs Conquerors game last week due to COVID concerns.

We will have more on this developing story.
