As the relaunch of the XFL is getting closer and closer by the minute, a few more names are being added to the coaching staff of the teams that will be competing when the league begins play on February 8th & 9th 2020, the latest being the XFL Tampa Bay franchise.
Below are just a few of the names that will be joining the XFL Tampa Bay franchise:
Josh Neiswander was a two-time first team all-district selection at Winnsboro High School. He left Winnsboro High School as the school’s all-time leader in passing yards and touchdown passes. Josh Neiswander was also a former professional Canadian football quarterback. He was signed by the Alouettes on June 11th, 2011. Neiswander also graduated with a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Angelo State University while breaking every major passing record in school history.
Mike Archer was a longtime Division I assistant coach who spent four years as the head coach at LSU from 1987-1990. Archer also served as an assistant coach in the SEC with Kentucky from 1993-1995 and again from 2003-2006. From 2007-2012, Archer was the Defensive Coordinator for the North Carolina St. Wolfpack. In 2014, Archer also became the Defensive Assistant for the Virginia Cavaliers with Tom O’Brien as the associate head coach. Archer then became the linebacker coach for the Toronto Argonauts of the CFL in 2017. Archer is currently the defensive coordinator for the Toronto Argonauts.
Darren Krein was a football coach in the National Football League (NFL) from 1997 until 2017, finishing his career with the Indianapolis Colts as their head, strength and conditioning coach. Over his eighteen years of coaching, his teams compiled a cumulative record of 139-149-0.
Ronald Selesky was a former player for the National Football League (NFL) from 2006 to 2007 and the former head coach of the Birmingham Steeldogs of the Arena Football League. Selesky most recently worked as the defensive coordinator for the Columbus Destroyers. He was also the Coach of the Year for the Arena Football League in 2002 when he guided the Albany Conquest to a 13-3 record and the championship of the Northeast Division in their first season. Prior to that, Selesky was the head coach of the Louisville Fire and Buffalo Destroyers. He has also had stints with the Tampa Bay Storm and Carolina Cobras, where he served part of a season as head coach.
Billy Parker was a former professional gridiron football linebacker. He started his coaching career with the Montreal Alouettes as a defensive assistant coach, working closely with the defensive backs. Parker also played with the Montreal Alouettes from 2009 to 2016. Parker was also an assistant coach with the Richmond Revolution in the Indoor Football League. During his career, he also participated in the Cleveland Browns mini-camp and in the Miami Dolphins training camp. He was also a member of the Carolina Panthers practice squad. Parker also played three years with the New York Dragons in the Arena Football League.
Brad Anderson was a Head Student Equipment Manager at the Florida State University from June 2007 – April 2012. Anderson was also a Training Camp Equipment Intern with the New York Jets from July 2010 – August 2011. From May 2012 – April 2014, Anderson was the Assistant Intern Equipment Manager with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Anderson was most recently the Assistant Director of Equipment Operations for the University of Miami from May 2014 – June 2019 before getting hired as the Head Equipment Manager for the XFL Tampa Bay team.
Dave Levy was the Video Director for the Orlando Apollos of the Alliance of American Football (AAF). Prior to that, he was Video Director for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (NFL).
Lawrence Hill was a Defensive Line Coach at the West Texas A&M University. He earned his Master’s Degree in Exercise Physiology from Auburn University.
These are the latest additions to what is already a fantastic and top caliber team in the XFL Tampa Bay franchise.
