XFL To Announce Head Coach/GM of L.A. Franchise May 7th

According to Ryan Kartje of the Orange County Register, the XFL will announce the new head coach/GM of the XFL Los Angles Franchise Tuesday, May 7th.

Details are scarce but rumored names include Jim Mora Jr. and Mike McCoy.

Mora was the head coach at UCLA from 2012 to 2017. He has coached in the NFL from 1985 to 2009 on different teams including the San Diego Chargers, New Orleans Saints, San Francisco 49ers, Atlanta Falcons and Seattle Seahawks.

McCoy spent four seasons as head coach of the San Diego Chargers from 2013 to 2016. He also has coached in the NFL from 2000 to 2018. Last serving as Arizona Cardinals offensive coordinator in 2018. He spent time as an assistant coach for the Carolina Panthers and offensive coordinator of the Denver Broncos.

One last name to keep in mind is Jim Haslett who was rumored to have an XFL coaching job months ago.
