As XFL mini-camps come to a close this week, we are starting to see a few cuts from several XFL teams. According to This Is The XFL Show former Baylor DL Shawn Oakman has been let go by head coach Winston Moss and the LA Wildcats.
According to coach Moss
“The LA Wildcats are all about supporting each other and winning a Championship. We made a collective and joint decision that it was best to move on.”
Winston Moss
Moss was seen earlier in mini-camp excited to work with Oakman.
As of a couple of days ago, Oakman was in this video excited to put the past behind him and start new with the Wildcats.
We will see if he winds up with another team in the XFL.
In February of 2019, Oakman was found not guilty of sexual assault from a case filed back in 2016. That case along with other off the field issues kept NFL teams from drafting the former third-team All-American in 2016.
He was trying to restart his pro football career by being drafted by the Los Angeles Wildcats in the Phase 5 portion of the XFL draft.
