The XFL Summer Showcase moves from Dallas Texas to Houston tomorrow with more named players from the league. This time it is a different twist, as the league announced via their Twitter three former AAF players. The AAF folded in 2019 after only eight games.
The three players announced for the Houston XFL Summer Showcase are Will Hill, Demarcus Ayers, and Kenny Hilliard.
Will Hill(SS) played at the University of Florida and was a member of Florida’s 2009 BCS National Championship team. He had stints with the New York Giants and Baltimore Ravens. Last played for the Orlando Apollos of the Alliance of American Football (AAF).
Demarcus Ayers(WR) played at the University of Houston and was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the seventh round of the 2016 NFL Draft. He had stints with New England Patriots and Chicago Bears. Last played for the San Antonio Commanders of the Alliance of American Football (AAF).
Kenny Hilliard(RB) played at Louisiana State University for the LSU Tigers. The Houston Texans drafted him in the seventh round of the 2015 NFL Draft. He played for the Washington Redskins in 2017. Last played for Memphis Express of the Alliance of American Football (AAF).
The XFL Summer Showcase is an invite-only camp for coaches to get a look at potential future XFL players. Coaches will visit all eight cities to evaluate players.
