After the initial comeback, the XFL season was put on hold due to talks between the league and CFL. When after months, those talks fell through. After social media teases by The Rock and Dany Garcia. To the announcement of a relationship between the XFL and NFL. We finally have a date of when the new XFL 3.0 will begin. 12 pm ET on Wednesday, April 6th. You can see the countdown clock and sign up for alerts on the official XFL website.
All of the XFL’s social media are in a blackout.
We know that Reggie Barlow will be the head coach for an XFL team in San Antonio. Other than that, everything is up for grabs. Will the league bring back a team to St Louis and DC? Will the league expand to ten teams? Will the league have a presence in Mexico or Canada? Who will be the TV partners? So many questions XFL fans have had over the last several years. We will finally have some answers on Wednesday at 12 pm.
This is an exciting time for those fans who stuck with the league during bankruptcy and the CFL talks. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the day will be filled with a heavy heart as we miss Josh Davis, who would have loved to write about and be part of this day. Say a prayer to his kids and family on that day.
It’s time for a new XFL era to begin. Drink your Zo, grab your Teremana Tequila, buy your wife some nice clothes at GSTQ, and lets F’n go! For The Love Of Football.
