XFL fans have heard things from insiders like our own Mike Mitchell and various media appearances by XFL head coaches. But nothing concrete from the League, that is, until now.
XFL President Russ Brandon sent the following via the XFL’s newsletter.
Over the past year, I have watched the XFL go from a vision to reality as we built a roadmap for the League & teams and determined how we want to play and present the game to our fans.
The future is now, and the XFL is paving the way forward for the game and how YOU, our fan, will experience it.
Over the next few weeks, you will see an unprecedented series of exciting announcements as we close in on kick-off in February 2023.
As a loyal fan, you will have a front-row seat to its beginning and a glimpse into the future of our League.
Our passion for the game and our fans is real, and we’re glad you’re on board for the ride.
Thank you for your ongoing support of the XFL, and I look forward to seeing you in the stands.
Best,
Russ Brandon
Nothing concrete is in the newsletter, but November is sure to be a big month of exciting news from the XFL. Fans have been waiting patiently, and the clock is ticking to February’s Kick-off of the 2023 season.
Despite our reports, we still await an official announcement from the XFL. The last big news was months ago about the coaches. Team names, XFL draft date, is all that we have heard through sources or early leaks.
If they come true, then great. If not, then it does not mean the League doesn’t know what they are doing. There is a reason they have not released that info officially yet.
Our League, which we thought was gone forever in 2020, is now back. Players, coaches, and staff have a new opportunity to chase their dreams. We can once again root for our teams. Be thankful for that. Chill out. This is supposed to be fun. IT’S NOT THAT SERIOUS. Get excited because we diehards have been waiting for years. It is finally here.
