E! News reporter Samantha Schnurr recently interviewed XFL Co-Owner and Entrepreneur Dany Garcia. In her series on women who are leaders in their fields. Schnurr goes through Garcia’s beginnings working an eight-stall barn at 12 years old in New Jersey, her time at Merrill Lynch, creating her own wealth management firm to where she is today.
They also touch on the impact the purchase of the XFL had on her life.
“The entire experience has been life-changing for me,” she told E! News over email. “The enormity of relaunching this league combined with the complex strategy and partnerships executions we are cultivating for the benefit of our athletes and audiences is a 24/7 impacting event.
While it is no small task and we are months from hitting the field, it’s humbling to see that following my passions has had such a positive impact in other people’s lives. It gives me joy to hear that this acquisition inspired others to take a leap in their own careers.”

The recent news of the re-launch of the USFL has some XFL fans worried. Garcia, DJ, and RedBird Capital are working behind the scenes on something big. With RedBird’s hiring of Kevin LaForce, and the CFL getting back on the field in 2021, these are all good signs.
Whatever they have planned fans are anxiously awaiting some type of news. The XFL needs to be careful, out of sight, out of mind for too long.

Dany Garcia and the Rock should focus on lease agreements for their teams to play and on enlarging the field sizes in those stadiums, without compromising the structural integrity of the stadiums, to get ready for CFL rules play against teams from up North.
