XFL 2022 Season Still On Pending Discussions With CFL

As part of the excitement in the announced partnership between the CFL and XFL, there was mention of the status of the planned 2022 return of the XFL. The XFL tweeted out the following.

“The XFL 2022 Season is on hold pending the outcome of our conversations with the CFL.”

Our own XFL insider Jai Nokes got some clarification on the XFL’s statement.

So as it stands right now, all of the XFL’s energy is going into talks with the CFL. There are a lot of moving parts and this is a fluid situation.

We should have more of an idea of the 2022 XFL season in the coming months once a formal plan is in place between the XFL and CFL.

Both leagues are dealing with the aftermath of shutdowns due to COVID-19. The CFL is planning on playing in 2021, training camps start in May with games in June. The statements today did not reference the possibility of a merger, just talking.

Please start your season, by 2022. My gosh we have been waiting too long. I had season tickets previously, I will be so done with XFL, so will alot of my colleagues. Please see that for the overall good folks want to see good football, just like the ROUGHNECKS. They were putting out a great product! Players want to play! Other business entities, are up and running, we can’t keep using COVID 19.

My wife purchased season tickets for the Dallas Renegades. We only attended 3 games with 2 left to play. She advise the Renegades office to apply the remaining 2 games to the 2021 rather than getting a refund last year.

How does she (who does she) contact for the refund of the remaining games now that the XFL is bankrupt ?
