The Tampa Bay Vipers have announced the following move on their Twitter account:
- Vipers ACTIVATE QB/RB Quinton Flowers from his leave*
- Vipers WAIVE CB Jalen Collins
*The XFL granted the Vipers a roster exemption for Flowers when he took his leave of absence last week.
The Vipers traded for Jalen Collins from the LA Wildcats during training camp, but the cornerback never seemed to find his footing on the Vipers defense. Tampa Bay traded Arrion Springs, who was the team’s first round selection in the defensive secondary portion of the XFL draft.
Springs has played in all four games for LA posting 12 tackles and an interception. Collins on the other hand has been inactive for the Vipers’ last two games. He’s defended one pass this season and has one assisted tackle.
