September 9 marked the beginning of the 2021/22 season of the National Football League (NFL). It is only the 5th week out of 18 and it’s already heating up at the stadiums. Who will be this season’s champion? Many may already have good guesses from last season’s performances and the pre-qualifiers training. In fact, the following five teams are setting a good buzz over social media.
Many fans out there are preparing their list of the top 20 teams so far this season and these five are always somewhere at the upper half. It’s still too early to tell who will take the title home but the fun part of being a fan of the sport is guessing. Here are the top fan choices for the team that is most likely to win as NFL champions of 2021/22.
Arizona Cardinals
The Arizona Cardinals swooped in and won 37-20 in their 4th week against the Los Angeles Rams. It marks their 4th victory out of 4 games the entire season. On top of that, they won every game with more than 30 scores each, giving them a huge lead in the NFL standings. The NFL latest news is a much-needed popularity boost for the Cardinals as they haven’t had a great record since 2015.
Dallas Cowboys
The Dallas Cowboys started the season with a loss against the Buccaneers in the first week with a 2-point deficit. This motivated them to play harder in the following three games with a 20-point lead against the Eagles on week 3. Fans look forward to their game against the Giants to see if the same ferocity will appear in a home court.
Los Angeles Rams
The Los Angeles Rams received their first defeat of the season in the 4th week at the hands of the Arizona Cardinals. However, they are still far ahead of the rest of the competition. The Rams seek to reclaim their lost streak in future games starting the fifth week of the season. It may take a while before they eclipse the Cowboys in the standings so stay tuned for more details.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers climbed to the top of the South division after their win against the Patriots on Monday. Unfortunately, they have a huge point gap in the overall standings after a 10-point deficit against the Rams in the 3rd week. Placekicker Ryan Succop made an impressive display with a 48-yard goal in the fourth quarter.
Tom Brady is a formidable quarterback and his return tipped the odds to the Buccaneers’ favour but many noted that he was still off his game. Stay tuned for future matches and see him in his full glory as a candidate for the Hall of Fame.
Green Bay Packers
Opinions on the Green Bay Packers vary widely among fans. Many put them as one of the top five while some push them down as a 30th placer. What makes them one of the best to watch in this season is their impressive win against the Steelers in week 4. It was a struggle but key players such as Randall Cobb and Aaron Rodgers managed to secure the win for the team.
Buffalo Bills
The Buffalo Bills of the East lost by 7 points against the Steelers in the first week but won all of their other games with a considerable lead. They won an impressive 35-0 against the Dolphins in week 2 and a whopping 40-0 against the Texans in week 4. Even their win against Washington was a 22-point difference. Fans look forward to seeing more of Buffalo Bills’ ferocious touchdowns at the NFL latest news.
