San Antonio Brahmas QB Jack Coan, has been given a chance to pursue his NFL dream once more. According to a report by NFL reporter Aaron Wilson, the Seattle Seahawks have invited Coan to participate in their rookie minicamp.
Before joining the Brahmas for the 2023 season, Coan’s professional career began with the Indianapolis Colts, signing with them as an undrafted free agent on May 13, 2022. However, he was waived on August 30, 2022. Coan then joined the San Antonio Brahmas following the 2023 XFL Draft on November 17, 2022.
Coan played college football for Wisconsin and Notre Dame. He hails from Sayville, New York, and attended Sayville High School before committing to the University of Wisconsin in 2017. Coan became the starting quarterback for Wisconsin after three seasons but suffered an injury in 2020 that sidelined him for the entire season. As a graduate student, he transferred to the University of Notre Dame, where he was named the starting quarterback and subsequently entered the 2022 NFL Draft.
In the 2023 XFL season, Coan played in eight games, starting seven of them, with a 2-5 record. He completed 62.2% of his passes (158 of 254) for 1,471 yards, averaging 5.8 yards per pass, with six touchdowns and six interceptions. He also rushed 26 times for 108 yards, averaging 4.2 yards per carry.
