Sea Dragons Aquire Former Syracuse RB Moe Neal In Trade From Brahmas

On Sunday, news broke of a trade between the Seattle Sea Dragons and the San Antonio Brahmas. Seattle has acquired former Syracuse running back, Moe Neal, with San Antonio receiving former WI-River Falls TE Ben Beise.

Seattle Sea Dragons Receive: RB – Moe Neal

College: Syracuse (2016 – 2019)

Pro Experience: N/A

Moe Neal played 4 seasons at Syracuse from 2016 to 2019, never missing a game in that time. He played in 49 games (22 starts) and totaled 485 carries for 2,560 yards and 15 rushing touchdowns. Additionally, Neal hauled in 56 receptions for 546 receiving yards and 1 receiving touchdown, completing his tenure 6th among the school’s running backs in receiving yards and 8th in receptions.

Neal started every game of his final two seasons and earned the program’s Mark Hoffman Award in both 2018 and 2019 as the team’s most outstanding back. He finished his collegiate career 9th on Syracuse’s all-time rushing list and was ranked 9th in yards per carry average (5.28) over his four seasons with the school.

San Antonio Brahmas Receive: TE/FB – Ben Beise

College: WI-River Falls (2017 – 2021)

Pro Experience: Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2022)

Ben Beise played 4 seasons at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls and appeared in 19 games for the school. He made a name for himself through the air and on the ground, totaling 42 receptions for 385 yards and 2 touchdowns, along with 22 rush attempts for 93 yards and 4 touchdowns.

In that time, he was named 2021 All-WIAC First Team Tight End, 2021 Second Team All-Purpose Back, 2021 D3football.com Second Team All-Region, and 2021 AFCA First Team All-American.

After not being selected in the 2022 NFL Draft, Beise signed as an undrafted free agent with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Unfortunately, he’d be waived during the preseason.

The Seattle Sea Dragons selected Ben Beise as a fullback in the XFL’s supplemental draft earlier this year, but he’s played the majority of his career as a tight end.
