Former West Virginia and St. Louis Battlehawks safety, Kenny Robinson, the only draft-eligible player from the XFL, has been a very hot name among teams. He’s had FaceTime meetings with the #Cowboys, #Bears, #Vikings, #Jaguars, and #Dolphins among others, per source.
The NFL Draft begins this Thursday (April 23rd) at 8 PM Eastern Time on ESPN and NFL Network. While former St. Louis BattleHawks Safety Kenny Robinson isn’t expecting to hear his name called Thursday night in primetime, the 21-year-old has been busy meeting with NFL teams as draft week begins.
According to Jordan Reid of The Draft Network, Robinson has been “a hot name among teams.” With Reid saying in a tweet that the Dallas Cowboys, Chicago Bears, Minnesota Vikings, Jacksonville Jaguars and Miami Dolphins are teams that Robinson has had facetime meetings with.
Robinson, the only draft-eligible player from the XFL will be at the center of attention this weekend among fans as they wait to see what round the safety has his name announced after taking a non-traditional path to the NFL.
In terms of prospects at the safety position, the draft this year lacks some “true centerfield” style ball-hawk players, so it has added to the interest Robinson is gaining as the draft approaches.
Reid also tweets that Robinson could be drafted as early as the 3rd or 4th round based on the late buzz the player is getting.
Stay tuned to XFL News Hub all week as we follow Robinson’s journey to the NFL.
