Reason For Vince McMahon Not Being At RAW & Likely SmackDown

Last night’s RAW from the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minnesota was one hell of a show despite the inconspicuous absence of WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon from the gorilla position, which is where the people in charge of the show take care of business.

RAW last night was reportedly headed by WWE COO Triple H, Kevin Dunn and Monday Night RAW Executive Director Paul Heyman.

It was reported on a recent edition of The Wrestling Observer Radio Program that Vince McMahon has taken the week off from his duties with the WWE to concentrate more on his responsibilities with the XFL as a conference is scheduled to take place this coming Wednesday. This means that Vince will likely not be at tonight’s SmackDown LIVE either.

The event scheduled to take place Wednesday will reportedly see Vince McMahon announce all 8 XFL team names and logos that will be competing in the new XFL. The league is set to begin February 8th and 9th, 2020.

There is no word yet on if SmackDown LIVE Executive Director Eric Bischoff will be in charge of tonight’s SmackDown LIVE from Sioux Falls, South Dakota. It was previously reported that Eric Bischoff is still getting used to his new position in WWE.
