Arlington, Texas (December 12, 2022) – The XFL today announced that Kurt Benkert (Houston Roughnecks) and D’Eriq King (D.C. Defenders) have been assigned to XFL teams.
Benkert, 27, played collegiately at East Carolina and Virginia. He has NFL experience with Atlanta, Green Bay, and San Francisco.
King, 25, played collegiately at Houston and Miami before signing with the New England Patriots after going unselected in the 2022 NFL Draft. He also had a brief stint with the Carolina Panthers.
