The New England Patriots announced Monday that have signed former DC Defenders LS/DE Brian Khoury. This makes the 2nd Defenders player to he signed to an NFL training camp roster this week.
Khoury went undrafted in 2017 after being Carnegie-Melon’s all-time career sack leader with 29 1/2, including 12 1/2 his senior year.
He spent time in the Indoor Football League (San Diego Strike Force) and in one of The Spring League’s showcases before being selected in the XFL.
He wasn’t always a specialist though, picking up the skill after not catching on in the CFL or NFL out of college.
The former CMU hockey player has a chance to spens some time in New England, depending on how long their veteran LS – Joe Cardona – misses with a wrist injury.
