According to Ben Fisher of Sports Business Journal, the Oliver Luck and Vince McMahon termination suit has been settled out of court. Terms of the settlement are not known at this time.
“The settlement was referred to in a filing by Luck’s attorney, Paul Dobrowski, on Friday, seeking a judicial order permanently sealing records in the case. Many had already been sealed until a resolution. “The parties reached an agreement to resolve this case on June 16, 2022,” Dobrowski wrote. The case had been slated to go to jury selection on July 11. McMahon’s lawyer, Jerry McDevitt, does not oppose the motion.”
The motion reads;
“Pursuant to D. Conn. L. Civ. R. 5(e), Plaintiff Oliver Luck moves to continue to seal after the resolution of this case all material previously ordered sealed by the Court.
For the reasons stated in the accompanying Memorandum of Law, Mr. Luck respectfully requests that the Court grant this motion.
The Defendants do not oppose this motion to seal.
WHEREFORE, Mr. Luck respectfully moves this Court to continue to seal after the resolution of this case all material previously ordered sealed by the Court with such other and further relief as this Court deems just and proper.”
Last week Vince McMahon stepped down as WWE chairman and CEO amid a company investigation into hush money allegations. This settlement was a day before McMahon made his final appearance on Smackdown for now.
