This week for the Wildcats centered around a remodel of the special teams. This week the Wildcats cut Levonte “Kermit” Whitfield. Kermit had been returning kickoffs and punts throughout the season. However, the remodel did not stop there.
I’d like to thnk my Wildcat family for the opportunity. Due to an issue w/ my left knee, for the 1st time, I will be going under the knife, which will place me on IR.— Nick Novak (@8nicknovak) March 5, 2020

After the Wildcats had to put kicker Nick Novack on the IR they immediately had to find a replacement. The Wildcats decided to bring in Giorgio Tavecchio, a 29-year-old from the University of California.
Tavecchio, also known as “Italian Ice”, is most known for his stints with the Raiders and Falcons. Tavecchio will try and fix the Wildcats kicking wounds as they had one field goal blocked and another shanked in last week’s loss to the Guardians.
