DC Defenders CB Elijah Campbell has signed with The New York Jets practice squad. He is the second XFL player to sign with the Jets joining K Sergio Castillo.
Campbell is the seventh DC Defender player to sign a pro deal. He joins Hunter Niswander as the only two Defenders on an NFL team.
Campbell finished the five-game shortened XFL season with 6 tackles and this memorable blocked punt resulting in the Defender’s first-ever touchdown.
He was rated as one of the top players in the XFL. Campbell was taken in the 1st Round, 4th overall in the Phase #4 portion of the 2020 XFL Draft by the DC Defenders. He played his college ball at Northern Iowa.
